It is the largest lagoon in the state, with a perimeter of approximately 16 km. Its temperate waters come from the collection of irrigation water from the old hacienda of San José Vista Hermosa.
In addition, Tequesquitengo is characterized by its rather warm climate with an average annual temperature of 25.6ºC, making it a pleasant destination to visit throughout the year.
In the center of the lake, marked by some buoys, is the sunken old town of Tequesquitengo.
It is recognized nationally and internationally as an ideal place to practice various water sports, various state and national ski competitions are held here. It has beach clubs and all services.
Not only the lake is the attraction, you can also explore the picturesque town, or the mountains that surround it with unique landscapes and spectacular views of the lake.
