There is a “parador”, a kind of hostel, where you can appreciate the majestic beauty of Nueva Esperanza Lagoon, with the Usumacinta River visible in the background.

The lagoon is surrounded by abundant vegetation where a variety of bird species reside.

Three kilometers from the town of Emiliano Zapata, there is a site known as La Isla. There, you can take boat tours, fish, and swim when the water level of the Usumacinta River is low, creating a small beach.
