It is considered a natural defense for boats.

This is due to its cliffs, which can reach up to 150 meters in height.

The tiny island measures 4 square kilometers and serves as a refuge for sea lions and various birds such as ospreys, pelicans, and seagulls, among others.

The surrounding crystal-clear waters are ideal for kayaking, snorkeling, and diving, in addition to beautiful and secluded beaches where you can swim.

It is also known as the "Treasure Island" because, although small in size, it is rich in unique landscapes, both above and below the water.

The east side is steep and abrupt, with a variety of rock formations, among which stands out "La Ventana," an arch that is also a fantastic shallow reef with calm waters. This rocky outcrop has been sculpted by the action of waves and wind over time and has become one of the iconic symbols of the island.

The west side is sheltered from the wind and offers several beautiful sandy beaches and coves, including the "honeymoon cove," flanked by red cliffs, probably one of the most attractive spots in the entire Marine Park.

The turquoise and flat waters provide perfect opportunities for exploring the seabed.

You can climb to the top of a nearby hill from where you can enjoy breathtaking views. It is located approximately 24 kilometers southeast of Loreto.
