Its name means "King's Palace" in Mayan. It features stalactites, stalagmites, columns, deep precipices, and thirteen cenotes of various sizes. 

There is a whimsical cavernous formation known as "the dome of the Cathedral" due to its extraordinary resemblance to the cathedral of Mérida.
