It is the highest peak in the state of Guanajuato with 2,830 meters above sea level and was previously known as Teoculhuacan Chicomoxtoc Aztlán. In fact, according to some archaeologists, it is the mythical Aztlán, the place where the Aztecs came from.

The hill also keeps other mysteries, since it has 7 caves. According to legend, from one of them came the eagle that ordered the ancient Aztecs to walk until they found an eagle on a cactus devouring a snake.
