It is an open-air cenote also known as the Sacred Cenote, as it was used for sacred purposes during the time of the Maya civilization. It is one of the most important cenotes in the Yucatán Peninsula.
It has a diameter of 60 meters and its walls drop 15 meters.
This place combines natural beauty with the enigma of the Mayan past, as remains of young women with elaborate clothing have been found at its bottom.

It is located in the archaeological zone of Chichén Itzá, approximately 42 km or a 40-minute drive from Valladolid.
