Its name comes from the fact that it used to be the place where taxis were washed.
It is one of the most beautiful caves in the area with a diameter of 50 m and an average depth of 5 m, although in the cavern, the depth reaches up to 17 m. The temperature ranges from 24 to 26°C.
To reach it, there is a wooden path, and it has a 2 m high platform to jump into the cenote, with an easy exit through wooden steps. It has bathrooms and changing rooms.
Usually, it is covered in algae, and its visibility depends on how close to the surface it is. Its interior offers magical landscapes of submerged trees and caves, as well as a wide diversity of fish, turtles, and the occasional small crocodile.
It provides a spectacular experience for those who enjoy cave diving and is full of stalactites, stalagmites, and columns. Additionally, the light that penetrates through the algae layer above creates a surprising spectacle of different shades. There are also some remains of pre-Hispanic ceramics.
It is perfect for swimming and snorkeling, and you can interact with the fish and turtles. For divers, it offers various challenges and surprises such as the diverse tree roots, a huge stalactite, and the effects produced by the algae, as well as other marine plants that inhabit certain levels of the cenote.
