It is formed by the waters of the Cupatitzio River on a ravine and consists of several waterfalls. The 60 m high Tzaráracua is the largest and is surrounded by lush vegetation, which makes this place truly unforgettable.
It can be reached on horseback, or on foot, as it has a pedestrian walkway that goes down the 579 stairs in the middle of impressive volcanic rock slopes. During the rainy season, you can see how the water runs between the rocks and the foliage.
There is a recreation center that offers areas for camping with grills, toilets and firewood, you can also practice rappelling and zip lining. The waterfall forms a natural pool where you can swim.
Ahead of the main waterfall, approximately a 20-minute walk, there is another 16 m high waterfall known as Tzararacuita.
