Hidden among the agricultural areas within a small basin of the eastern region of this town, there is a curious formation of sand dunes that resembles a "miniature desert."

This peculiar place originated from the accumulation of alluvial sediments carried by the Gulf of Mexico winds for thousands of years, resulting in this desert-like area.

The desert has its attractions, such as dunes and characteristic flora and fauna, including gophers, rabbits, coyotes, and a great variety of reptiles.

Taking a stroll through the area is very enjoyable, as it truly feels like being in the middle of a desert.
