This is one of the most voluminous rivers in Mexico and goes by several names from its source in Huehuetenango, in the mountains of Guatemala, until it flows into the Gulf of Mexico, where it merges with the Usumacinta River a little before the port of Frontera, Tabasco.

As it passes through Villahermosa, the river beautifies the city's banks. An additional attraction of this river is the boat ride that can be taken aboard the Captain Beuló restaurant boat, where you can enjoy an exquisite Tabasco menu.

Activities:

  • Observing flora and fauna
  • Boat tours

Location

Located 55 km, just over an hour away from Villahermosa.
