Templo de San Francisco (Temple)

It is part of the San Francisco convent and temple complex.

It was remodeled in the early 19th century in a clear neoclassical style, with four large Doric columns supporting a pediment-shaped lintel.

The interior remodeling was carried out by the famous architect Eduardo Tresguerras, and it stands out for its side altars and main altar with six fluted columns and six pilasters. In the center, there is the image of the Purísima Concepción, the city's patron saint.

Impressive murals such as "The Resurrection of Lazarus" and "The Last Judgment" can also be observed inside.

In the early 20th century, it suffered a fire, leading to further changes in its structure and the addition of a magnificent German organ.
