One of the mightiest rivers in Campeche that begins in Petén Guatemala and after traveling 400 km ends in the Laguna de Palao, which connects with the Laguna de Términos. It is characterized by its incredible blue-green tones with incredibly transparent waters. 

Along its path it forms a series of waterfalls. The most beautiful part of the river is located downstream and is known as Salto Grande. Here you will find a beautiful waterfall surrounded by wide pastures, mangroves and tropical vegetation, habitat for numerous birds. 

You can swim in the natural pools at the foot of waterfalls.
