It's a state protected natural area covering almost 20,000 hectares of jungle.

The reserve is the habitat of nearly 30 endemic species on the island. It's a valuable place with unique biodiversity, where efforts are made to protect each of its elements, but primarily the water formed in the jungle ecosystem.
