One of the largest dams in Tamaulipas, occupying 20% of the surface area of Padilla. The most important rivers that flow into the dam are San Carlos, Pilón, Corona, San Marcos, and Santa Rosa.

It is a place where you can go fishing for tilapia, catfish, and black bass.

It is home to most of the hunting and fishing grounds in the central region of the state.

When the dam was built, Villa Padilla was flooded, so one of the attractions of the place is to see the remnants of the old town.

Activities:

  • Observing flora and fauna
  • Boat tours
  • Sport Fishing

Location
