It is an elongated lake formed by hot springs that will descend to the Duero River and the Lerma River.

The landscape is complemented by leafy ash, juniper and coniferous trees that give it a unique character.

At the lake pier, also known in Purépecha as "place of suffering", you can hire a boat with a glass bottom, to admire the lake and some ducks and white herons or solitary waterfowl on its shores.

There are two ancient ahuehuetes that resemble an island in the center of the lake, known as "the island of love."

Its waters are so crystalline that you can dive and explore the amazing lagoon.
