They are located right in the channel that separates Bacalar Lagoon from Xul-Ha Lagoon. The constant flow of water between the two lagoons creates a strong current.

It is a beautiful place with fast and crystal-clear waters where you just have to let yourself be carried away by the current. 

You can swim through the channel with a life jacket or kayak. In the middle of the channel, there is a chain stretched from one end to the other, so you can hold on and rest from the force of the rapids. 

On the way, you can also find huge stromatolites. Always remember to take care of them and not touch or walk on them.

In this area, there is a restaurant that offers kayak rentals and life jackets for you to enjoy your water adventures.
