Its name means "Hidden Woman" and they are located near the town of Bolonchén. It is an impressive system of cavities created approximately seven million years ago.
They have an extension of 200 m and are considered the most important caves in the Yucatan peninsula due to their almost vertical disposition of some of their chambers.
To enter the cave you have to go down a concrete staircase with a railing, making it very accessible for the whole family. The tour takes approximately one hour.
Inside the cave there is a well-lit path with different colors that give it a unique atmosphere, along the tour you can enjoy the beautiful limestone formations with the light and sound show.
One of the most famous formations is the one that looks like a woman with a child in her arms that is associated with a legend of this grotto. You can ask your guide about this beautiful pre-Hispanic legend.
