Its name comes from the fact that tziranda trees are very common in this area.
They are formations of great beauty with impressive galeries. It is the habitat of 19 species of bats.
In addition, it is said that these caves were used as a refuge during wars. It was even the place where Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla hid, while fleeing from the royalist soldiers.
There are guided tours that cover approximately 300 m and to make it more attractive the caves have light and sound show.
The place has food stalls, toilets and parking lot.
