It is a spectacular protected area that covers more than 72 ha that includes the canyon from El Salto to Las Juntas.
To get to the bottom of the ravine, you have to go down almost 800 steps and cross a suspension bridge, go up again and thus reach a viewpoint that makes the entire journey worthwhile.
They are a set of waterfalls 40 m high by 100 m wide, which come from an underground river and when they fall they form a magnificent pool in which you can swim but with great caution, since you have to be very careful with the underground rivers close to the fall of the water.
The waterfalls are surrounded by dense vegetation with a rich biodiversity, where it is easy to see green macaws, otters, white-tailed bandages and the occasional crocodile.
In addition to its great natural beauty, there is a legend that tells that a beautiful indigenous princess lives here who at Holy Week appears to tourists to offer them to carry a container with stones, which they will have to carry until they climb all the steps without never turn back. In case of achieving this goal, it is said that the load will be turned into gold. We do not know if this is true, what is certain is that you will have a magical and unforgettable experience.
