This cenote has a diameter of 230 meters and a depth of 60 meters. It is known for the presence of stromatolites on its shores, which is why it is called the Sanctuary of the Stromatolites.
It is one of the four cenotes that feed into the Bacalar Lagoon. You can reach it by boat or by land, crossing a particular terrain that gives its name to the cenote (Cocalitos).
On the shores, there is a resort that offers palapas, camping areas, and a restaurant. Additionally, there are picturesque swings and hammocks within the lagoon for relaxation.
Facilities include changing rooms and a restaurant. It is also an option for camping enthusiasts to enjoy a beautiful starry sky at night.

Located within Bacalar Lagoon, about 300 meters from Cenote Azul and approximately 55.4 km, or 50 minutes, from Chetumal.
