Located five kilometers south of downtown Bacalar, it connects to the Bacalar Lagoon.
Considered the largest cenote in Mexico, it measures 200 meters wide and 90 meters deep, making it one of the deepest cenotes in the world.
Surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, it is an exceptional diving site with spectacular visibility, intricate maze of roots and logs, and vertical rock formations on the walls. If you're an experienced diver, you can also explore its caves, although it's always advisable to go with a guide.
Other activities you can enjoy at the cenote include swimming and boat rides. If you want to relax in this little paradise you can get a massage, there is a little cabana right next to the cenote where you can have this unforgettable experience.
Don´t forget to take a phote in the swingsets overlooking the water of the cenote.
On the shore, there's a renowned restaurant known for its seafood.
There are bathrooms and life jackets for rent.
