A circular structure made of pink quarry stone in a neoclassical style.
Its peculiar circular design is attributed to José Ma. Guerrero y Solachi and, due to its beauty, it has become the symbol that identifies the city.
It is surrounded by four beautifully carved planters and is well-preserved. In fact, when it rains heavily, water is still collected in it and can be seen flowing out from the sides of the containers.
It gives the impression of being a music box and is a proud monument of the people of San Luis Potosí. It has become one of the city's symbols.
The magnificent piece was built in 1827 and inaugurated in 1833. It is in such good condition that even today, when it rains heavily in the city, it still collects water and can be seen flowing out of the containers.
