Visible from any point in the Colima Valley, it is a gigantic monolith famous for the legends woven around it, among which the tomb of King Colimán stands out. 

Visiting the Juluapan Stone is a worthwhile hiking excursion, from its top you have the best panoramic view of the Colima Valley, it requires an uphill walk that is not dangerous, but difficult due to the remoteness of the terrain and the denseness of the its vegetation.

Location

Located 5 km along the road from the Villa de Alvarez junction - In Juluapan is the site known as "La Herradura"; from there, a path goes up the sierra that reaches Piedra de Juluapan, 17.6 km away, approximately half an hour from Colima.
