It has an area of 347 km2 where a small population lives. It has a fishing and cabotage port, as well as some wineries and an airfield.
It has wooded vegetation to the north of the island and on its cliff coast elephants and sea lions abound, as well as a large number of birds.
Its rather rocky beaches and there are not many tourist services.

Location
Located 24 km northwest of the Baja California coast in Sebastián Vizcaíno Bay.
