The Temple of the Holy Spirit is one of the "Indian Chapels" and one of the oldest in the city of Querétaro.
It was built around 1550 by Don Diego de Tapia in what was a Tarascan settlement.
The building has a single nave and on its exterior, there is a wall with inverted arches and an exterior door.
What remains of the original construction is a single-wall bell tower and its bells.
The interior is austere, and the main altar features two images: one of the Holy Spirit and another of the Lord of Mercy.
