Templo de San Esteban
Built in 1592 when the town of San Esteban in Nueva Tlaxcala was founded.
This town was inhabited by Tlaxcaltecas, making it one of the oldest buildings in the city.
In 1847, it was used as a hospital during the Battle of Angostura.
Two stone columns from the original construction can still be seen inside.
Overall, the church is austere, reflecting the Franciscan guidelines.
