The Temple of Our Lord of Calvary is recognized as the first Catholic temple in the city.
It was built in 1564 and was known as the Temple of the Sacred Mount of Calvary.
The current building dates back to 1642. It features a Romanesque-style structure, and there used to be an adjacent convent belonging to the Carmelite nuns. Later, the convent separated, and it is currently occupied by a preparatory school.
Its festivity is celebrated on the first Sunday of July in honor of Señor del Calvario.
