Templo de Capuchinas, La Inmaculada

Temple and convent founded on December 2, 1761, with nuns from Lagos de Moreno.

The temple has two simple facades with a front and a side door, characteristic of nun churches. Above the entrance is a niche with the sculpture of Santa Teresa.

The interior consists of a single nave with four ribbed vaults, making it one of the most attractive in the city. The altarpiece is in Neoclassical style, as it was modified in the early 20th century.

Next to the choir, there is a niche that houses the heart of Fray Antonio Alcalde from the Order of Preachers, who passed away on August 7, 1792. This is a small tribute as he was one of the figures who provided moral and financial support in the construction of the temple.
