Its existence is mentioned since the early 16th century, known as the "Chapel of the Cross of the Spaniards."

In 1693, the foundation stone for the current temple was laid, and in the 17th century, it was transformed into a parish. The temple was not dedicated until 1714 with the same dedication as the original chapel.

Its bell towers stand out, consisting of a single body and dating back to 1744, although the last section was added in the 20th century.

Its facade displays two styles: neoclassical and baroque. The ensemble is externally delimited by a pierced wall and a neoclassical portico.
