Parque Zoológico Irapuato
This park has gained national and international recognition for its efforts in preserving endangered species such as the Mexican wolf, Bengal tiger, and many others.
It covers over 5 hectares and features spacious shaded walkways, a playground, a 10,000 m2 lake where you can go boating, and a train that circles the zoo.
They have over 90 species and nearly 600 animals, including Siberian bears, hippos, llamas, guanacos, elk, gazelles, Bengal tigers, lions, jaguars, mouflon sheep, deer, zebras, giraffes, foxes, pumas, coyotes, monkeys, wild boars, magpies, pheasants, macaws, pigeons, parakeets, canaries, toucans, ducks, geese, and more.
Another attraction is "El Herpetario," which includes a crocodile enclosure, turtle area, iguana sanctuary, and a serpentarium where you can admire over twenty species of snakes from the region, including a 70 kg Ball Python or a 150 g vine snake.
Additionally, the park offers a train ride, an airplane you can explore inside, and playgrounds.
