Isla de las Aves Recreational Park
Located on the shores of the J. Trinidad Fabela Dam, this park offers suitable facilities for enjoying countryside outings.
You can take boat rides and visit a small island in the middle of the dam, which hosts a variety of birds including geese, ducks, guinea fowl, among others.
While most of the birds in this park are in their natural habitat, there is also an aviary that houses various exotic birds.
Surrounded by a beautiful forest of cedar trees, the park features cabins, palapas (thatched-roof shelters), barbecue areas, picnic tables, playgrounds, restrooms, security, horse stables, and a zipline.
It is the ideal place to spend a day in nature, take boat rides, and explore trails in the forest.
