Museo Regional de Querétaro
The Regional Museum of Querétaro is housed in the building of the Ex Convent of San Francisco, which dates back to the 16th century.
This convent was an important center for evangelization in the region.
The museum has an archaeology hall where photographs, models, utensils, and vessels from the archaeological sites in the area are exhibited.
The next hall is dedicated to customs and ethnicities in the state, showcasing photographs, traditional costumes, and crafts.
The Viceroyal History Hall exhibits the mummified body of a woman found in the Santa Clara convent, several religious paintings, and antique furniture. In the Querétaro in Mexican History hall, you can observe the Baroque table where the Treaty of Guadalupe was signed in 1848.
It has a temporary exhibition hall and an auditorium where concerts, conferences, and other cultural events take place.
