Museo Étnico de los Yaquis (Ethnic Museum)

It is housed in a historic building dating back to 1890.

This building was previously used as a military barracks, then as a hotel, and later as a residential house.

The museum is considered one of the top 5 Ethnic Museums in the world by National Geographic and consists of 11 rooms that cover the general knowledge of the Yaqui world, including their territory, traditional festivals, music and dance, ethnography, government, and traditional medicine.

Location

Obregón y Sinaloa No. 200 in the town of Cócorit, seven kilometers north of the city.

Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 to 18:00 hrs.
