Museo de Paleontología Eliseo Palacios
The Paleontology Museum has a collection of over 200 fossils found in the state of Chiapas.
The age of these fossils ranges from 300 million years to 10,000 years.
It has several exhibition areas: Prehistoric Garden, the universe of paleontology, Chiapas fossils, exhibition laboratory, ancient environments of Chiapas, and an amber section.
The main hall features the reconstruction of a megatherium, and in the Amber Section, various pieces of this fossil resin are displayed, some of them with insects and spiders trapped inside the amber.
