The museum was inaugurated in 2004.

It features state-of-the-art technology and interactive devices.

It has five rooms that help better understand the origin and functioning of the universe, as well as nature and the environment.

The room themes are: Room 1, The Universe. Room 2, Life. Room 3, Evolution and Paleontology. Room 4, Tamaulipas Biodiversity. And Room 5, Man and Nature.

This cultural space also offers a high-definition 3D projection room, a temporary exhibition room, an acoustical shell, and the Ciudad Victoria Planetarium.
