Cultural heritage site inscribed in 2003 on the World Heritage List.

It is located just 21 km from Jalpan and was built between 1761 and 1764 by Friar Miguel de la Campa. It was the last one to be built in the Sierra Gorda and is dedicated to the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception.

Its composition is well-balanced, with a narrow bell tower integrated into its facade.

It has a fascinating book-like facade, the most ornate and captivating of the five missions. It consists of three sections topped by a mixed pediment, and in the center, there is Saint Michael the Archangel with a dragon at his feet representing the devil.

The Virgin of the Immaculate Conception can be seen, and the four columns of the first section have niches with sculptures of four Franciscan saints: Saint James of the Marches, Saint Bernardino of Siena, Saint John Capistrano, and the Blessed Albert. Indigenous representations of mermaids and faces with indigenous features also stand out.

Inside, there are medallions on the ceiling of the main nave, starting with Saint Michael the Archangel.

Original elements have been preserved in this mission, such as its atrium with a cross, the three arches, the bell tower, and the open chapel, among others.
