The church was built in 1732.
Delimited by its original atrial wall, the temple features on its gray quarry facade four fluted columns that frame the sculpted images of the Virgin Mary, Saint Peter, Saint Paul, Saint Anne, and Saint Joachim, all carved in the same quarry stone. The ensemble is crowned by two lions holding the Spanish imperial shield.
Its octagonal dome is beautifully adorned with Talavera tiles and topped with a small cupola adorned with quarry stone and Talavera, as well as an iron forged cross.
