It used to be a rustic chapel.
It wasn't until 1796 that the church was completed thanks to the donations of Juan Esteban Quijana
Over time, it has undergone several renovations, and in the 19th century, it was used as a hospital and later as a military headquarters.
In the early 20th century, the church was expanded and renovated both in its facade and interior.
On the facade, the simple bell tower was replaced by a solid tower with a pinnacle built in 1941, and a decade later, the atrium was surrounded by a parapet and iron grills.
The entire neighborhood has a great tradition, and the beautiful San Sebastian fair takes place in its square every August. Behind the square, there is a market where you can try tasty snacks.
