Templo y Ex Convento de las Capuchinas
This Baroque-style complex began its construction in 1680 and was completed in 1737.
It belonged to the Capuchin Clarist sisters and was used to house indigenous girls, daughters of chiefs, and Capuchin nuns.
A fire consumed the main altar, and only three Baroque altarpieces remain. Over time, it has undergone numerous renovations. In 1908, the part that functioned as a convent was demolished.
The most remarkable feature of the temple is its colorful interior, contrasting with its sober exterior. Inside the religious building, one can find golden panels depicting themes such as the passion of Christ and the Holy Family. Currently, only three of the original six panels remain.
Adjacent to it is a beautiful square and garden that serve as a recreational space.
