The exact date of its foundation is not known, but it remains an attraction in the San Sebastián neighborhood.
It was formerly known as the Hermitage of Our Lady of Good Voyage, possibly because, being on the edge of the royal road to Campeche, carriages would briefly stop there to pray to the Virgin for good luck on their journeys.
It is a simple building with a facade that offers a perfect square with a long cornice where a pyramidal bell gable with three openings is located.
In front of the church, there is a beautiful garden where you can relax and enjoy the typical atmosphere of Mérida.
