Located in the subcommunity of Frontera Corozal, a community of the Chol ethnic group settled on the banks of the Usumacinta River, which serves as the border between Mexico and Guatemala.
It is the best site to visit the Yaxchilán archaeological site, as it is the last point reached by land from Palenque. From there, a 25 km boat ride is taken along the Usumacinta River, one of the largest rivers in Mexico, to reach the archaeological site. Additionally, it is a passageway to enter Guatemala to visit the Tikal archaeological site.
In this center, you can swim in the Usumacinta River or explore it by boat. It is also excellent for hiking.
It features a restaurant, cabins, a pier, laundry facilities, and internet.

Accessed via the Palenque-Ocosingo road to the Chancalá junction, then taking the Fronteriza del Sur road towards Frontera Corozal, covering approximately 162 km. Located 164 km, approximately 3 hours away from Palenque.
