This house is recognized as an architectural gem blending styles from the 18th and 19th centuries.

It was the residence of Don Pedro Romero de Terreros, one of the wealthiest and most important men in Querétaro and the founder of the current Monte de Piedad (a charitable institution). He was granted the title of Count of Santa María de Regla by King Charles III of Spain, which is why this house is also known as the House of the Count of Regla.

When his son inherited the property, he decided to enhance its beauty by adding beautiful railings and importing Florentine floors for the patio.

This magnificent house has hosted significant historical figures such as Maximilian of Habsburg, his wife, and Porfirio Díaz.

Currently, it has been transformed into a restaurant and events center.
