Leona Vicario House
This 17th-century house hosted the Trinitarian College of the Holy Inquisition.
It was used by the Holy Office as one of its facilities before inaugurating its headquarters in the 18th century. Later, the property was occupied by the couple Leona Vicario and Andrés Quintana Roo.
Leona Vicario risked her life several times in the fight for Independence, sold her jewelry to have cannons melted, and followed the insurgent army with a printing press to reproduce and spread the thoughts of the liberators.
After Leona Vicario's death in 1842, the house remained in the possession of her descendants.
