Beautiful building built in the 17th century that holds a grim legend.
This story is related to its first owner, Bartolo de Sardanetta, also known as El Segoviano, who had accumulated wealth through a pact with the devil and because he was a moneylender.
The story includes a tragic ending where he kills his sister, whom he was in love with, and it is said that when his soul was taken, a loud explosion was heard and the windows opened, releasing a strong puff of smoke with a sulfur smell, leaving his body charred.
José María Sotelo, creator of the Christmas Rosary, who inspired the tradition of the Biblical Chariots that have paraded through the streets on Christmas Eve since 1826, lived in this house.
Currently, the house houses some government offices, but due to the famous legend, it opens its doors at night to some groups who want to visit and confirm if all the horror legends told about the property are true.
