Biblioteca Iberoamericana Octavio Paz

The Ibero-American Library is located in part of the building that was formerly the Santo Tomás de Aquino College and the Church of the Society of Jesus, established in 1591.

Subsequently, the University of Guadalajara was founded here on October 3, 1792.

Over the years, this building served as the Institute of Sciences Quarters, Supreme Court of Justice Headquarters, School of Jurisprudence, Mexican Telegraph Office, and since 1991, it has been the Octavio Paz Ibero-American Library, one of the country's most cutting-edge digital libraries.

It hosts temporary exhibitions and other cultural events.
