Acuario Michín
The aquarium houses around 300 species and nearly 20,000 specimens, displayed in 5 pavilions, each showcasing amazing creatures.
The Wixárika Pavilion features reptiles and amphibians, including the freshwater axolotl.
The Maya Pavilion exhibits various fish species that inhabit coral reefs, including clownfish.
The Mixteca Pavilion showcases species such as crocodiles and otters, as well as other species inhabiting the Pacific coastal areas.
The Konkaak Pavilion features an impressive display of jellyfish. It also showcases the mostly desert region of the Gulf of California.
The Olmeca Pavilion showcases majestic sharks and features the largest tank in the aquarium, housing over two thousand specimens.
One of the spaces is the Achcalli Farm where you can interact with typical farm animals.
It also offers other recreational activities such as "Brincadusas" with various trampolines and "Oceaninja" which offers a course where you can jump, climb, overcome obstacles, and engage in laser tag.
Don't miss the Michin Lab where you can discover the work of biologists, veterinarians, and aquarists working at the facility.
If you want a more immersive experience, you can dive with sharks inside an acrylic box. The activity is carried out with a professional diver and lasts approximately 15 minutes.
You can also enter a tank with bullnose rays and interact with these fabulous animals for 45 minutes.
For a more relaxing activity, you can feed the rays, birds, or crocodiles.
