Museo San Roque
It is located in a building that dates back to the 16th century.
This construction was once occupied by Valladolid's most important hospital and later converted into the Church of San Roque.
Since 1985, it has been transformed into a museum and features four rooms.
The first room is the former nave of the temple where various pre-Hispanic artifacts from the region, documents, and other historical pieces related to the city's foundation, the Caste War, and other significant historical events are exhibited. It also highlights the role played by pirates, specifically the famous Lorencillos.
The space that used to be the sacristy corresponds to another room where crafts and other pieces related to Maya traditions and medicine can be found.
Some cultural events take place in the adjacent park.
