This building dates back to the 16th century, although few elements have been preserved from that period.
Among the preserved elements are part of its facade, the interior arcades, and some walls made of adobe, stone, and brick.
Previously, this building served as the Royal Inn, where various government entities would gather.
In 1982, it was rescued and restored by the government to house the offices of the Legislative Palace.
