This church has the traditional colonial Baroque style, like the rest of the churches in Valladolid.
It was built between the 16th and 17th centuries and was the first church for indigenous people in the city.
It has a single nave and a small atrium surrounded by an arcade. One of its most significant features is the bell tower, which is believed to date back to the 16th century. There is a stained glass window on its facade.
There is a park in front of it with the same name, and in the center, there is a monument to the Niños Héroes (Heroic Children).
