Templo de San Francisco de Asís

This is the first church built in the city of Chihuahua and dates back to 1721.

It was constructed by the Franciscans and was originally dedicated to Saint Joseph, the patron saint of miners.

It features a spacious nave in the shape of a Latin cross and a majestic dome.

Adjacent to it is the chapel of San Antonio, built in 1738, where the decapitated body of Father Hidalgo was buried in its atrium.
